Join our playtests.
We need players who didn’t write the rules.
Our different types of tests.
Playtests
The common one. You play a build for a while. Sometimes we give you specific things to try, sometimes we leave you alone in the world to see where you end up. One of us is usually around to ask questions afterwards.
A session runs about an hour, sometimes an afternoon. Longer playtests give you the build for a week or two on your own device, played whenever you like.
Focus groups
A conversation with a few other players, with one of us running it. Sometimes there's a build to talk about, sometimes just art and ideas that don't exist yet.
These run 60 to 90 minutes, and they're remote.
1-on-1 interviews
You and one of us, talking about how you actually play. What you do first in a new world, and where ours lost you.
These run 30 to 60 minutes. Keep your camera off if you'd rather.
Playtest FAQ.
- What happens after I sign up?
- You go on the waitlist. When we're running something that needs players like you, we get in touch by email or on Discord.
- What's in it for me?
- You get to play the games early and see how they're made.
- You also earn points as you go, which you can spend on in-game items and DLC. Maybe whole games too.
- Is it remote?
- Mostly, yes. We might organise the occasional in-person event, but coming along is always up to you.
- Is it a job?
- No.
- Who are you looking for?
- Anyone who likes games. You don't have to play simulation or strategy to be useful to us.
